Faith — a strong word of character, which according to Merriam-Webster, usually means: allegiance to duty or a person; belief and trust in and loyalty to God; or something that is believed especially with strong conviction. 

Typically, most people would probably associate faith with deep religious convictions, but this week, The Current includes several examples of faith which are not just religiously based, but definitely rooted in a sense of faith in community, neighbors and humanity.
