Citing the time pressures required to put together the program, New Trier High School officials do not appear interested in conducting another all-day seminar in 2018, but a desire remains to keep the topic of race relations in front of students.

At the Monday, April 17 school board meeting, Timothy Hayes, New Trier’s assistant superintendent for student services, said months of planning is required to put together a seminar, which this year featured two keynote speakers and a series of workshops at the Northfield and Winnetka campuses.
