When members of the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce selected a 2017 venue for its 41st annual Recognition Lunch — an event held each year to honor the contributions of respected local civic and business leaders — they logically chose the Winnetka Community House, a venerable, 106-year-old, historically landmarked building that functions as the educational, recreational and cultural heart of the village.
