North Shore Country Day started its centennial school year this month, marking 100 years in the Village of Winnetka.

To begin the centennial year on Sept. 4, school officials hosted a special Morning Exercise, an annual tradition where the Head of School Tom Flemma addresses the student body, reads aloud a children’s book (“If I Built a School” this year) and introduces new students and Lifers (six seniors this year who have attended since kindergarten).
