One big change to this summer’s Winnetka Music Festival should lead to bigger headlining musicians. All of the thousands of visitors will be able to hear the final two acts, but only 5,000 ticket-purchasing fans will be able to see them.

Most of the third-annual edition of the two-day summer party will be free, but the special event permit that the Winnetka Village Council approved on Jan. 8 allows the organizers to charge a $20 fee for admission to the final two performances.
