The Central Suburban League conference championship match between the Glenbrook South and visiting New Trier boys water polo teams was a battle from start to finish.

Any time either team would score a goal or take the opposing team’s best shot, the other would find a way to respond and stay in the game.

The result was a sudden-death overtime classic, as the sudden death portion is in the third overtime. The Titans’ John Dales put the finishing touch on a GBS win as he scored 1 minute, 30 seconds into the sudden death period to deliver a 9-8 win.
